League of Legends: Remember when disconnects disrupted the Worlds?

Disconnects are annoying - especially when you're playing for millions on stage. This happened at the League of Legends Worlds 2012, in the quarter-finals between the Chinese team WE and Counter Logic Gaming Europe.

The first disconnection occurred right at the beginning: After twelve minutes and two kills for Team WE, the picture suddenly froze - and the game had to be restarted. The second game of the best-of-three series then happily went off without major complications.

Since both teams were able to gain a victory each, the decisive third game took place after a short break. The game was very intense and even after 59 minutes there was still no winner in sight. A real big show - until the Internet broke down once more.

The audience started to yell and the players also didn’t seem to be very enthusiastic. The organizers decided to repeat the third game in the series a few days later, just before the semi-finals in Los Angeles. Finally, CLG.EU fought its way into the round of the last four, but then lost to the Korean tournament favorite Azubu Frost.
