Highest player count worldwide: Crossfire leads in front of LoL, PUBG and Fortnite

More than 650 million accounts and about 240 million monthly players – Asian shooter Crossfire sets new benchmarks in the gaming industry. Publisher Smilegate’s official values are simply outstanding, no other game is able to beat the free-to-play title.

League of Legends, number one in 2019 Twitch stats, had 120 million monthly users in summer 2018. The data is pretty old, but one can not expect this count to have doubled in only one and a half year.

Crossfire’s reign over Counter Strike in Asia began about eight years ago, when CS:S successor CS:GO was not implemented into the World Cyber Games. Instead, Crossfire became the new tactical shooter in WCG’s program.

Even though Crossfire booms in South Korea, China and other eastern countries, player counts in North America and Europe did not really increase in the past few years.
